The All Japan Karate-Do Federation Gojukai (JKF Gojukai) is the governing body for Goju Ryu Karate-Do in Japan. As an Official Branch, KAJ Goju Ryu Karate-Do Sri Lanka follows its direct technical standards, training protocols, and grading guidelines. This direct connection ensures our students receive globally validated certificates.
We maintain our technical training and development in close association with Goju Ryu Karate-Do Seiwakai, one of the most prominent traditional Goju Ryu organizations globally. Through Seiwakai, Sensei Damith Bandara participates in international seminars and masters' courses, updating our curriculum with traditional Japanese execution.
Sensei Damith Bandara is the official representative for Sri Lanka and serves as the Vice President of the Asian Goju Ryu Karate Federation. This allows our students to compete at prestigious continental championships and participate in official Asian seminar training modules, raising the bar for sport karate in Sri Lanka.
As the Official Representative for Sri Lanka in the World Goju Ryu Karate Federation (WGKF), KAJ Goju Ryu connects local athletes directly to global championships. We follow technical rules set by the WGKF overseas committees, aligning our kata and kumite training directly with world-class levels.
Through our relationships, our instructors regularly attend international training camps, referee certification clinics, and master seminars in Japan and other countries. We invite senior grandmasters to Sri Lanka to conduct direct physical clinics for our black belts and juniors, ensuring the purest transmission of karate traditions.
